Broward Offers Gas Cards to Summer Hotel Guests

County is giving $25 gift cards at select hotels

South Floridians may not be getting much of a break from high gas prices, but tourists who visit can.

Broward County is offering hotel guests $25 in gas gifts cards for booking rooms at certain hotels, according to the Sun-Sentinel.

Anyone who books a room for two nights at select hotels over the summer through the Greater Fort Lauderdale Convention and Visitors Bureau's website or Facebook page will be offered the gas cards.

“Having them in our hotel rooms is worth the investment in their gas tanks,” President Nicki Grossman told the Sun-Sentinel.

The bureau is ready to spend $100,000 to promote the offer and another $100,000 in gas cards.

Palm Beach and Miami-Dade County are not offering this incentive, but do have other discount offers for travelers.
