Broward Prosecutors Flooded Out of Offices

A flood empties the sixth floor of the Broward courthouse

Usually when an attorney says they are flooded at work, they mean they have a heavy case load.

Unless you are a Broward prosecutor. Then you mean that your office has been flooded, again.

Employees at the State Attorney's office in the main courthouse were evacuated after a pipe in the old building burst and flooded the sixth floor.  It is the most recent in a hand full of major leaks at the old building in the past two years.

County commissioners are working to build a new courthouse, but hopefully no one will drown by the time it is built.

Legal files and other vital courthouse paperwork were drenched and computers were damaged. It's unclear how the flood will effect courthouse business the rest of the day.
