‘Please Come Forward': Brownsville Hit-and-Run Driver Still Sought

A man remains in the hospital days after he was hit by a driver who fled in Brownsville.

All 59-year-old Sam Brunson wants is the driver to come forward.

"That's all I ask you," Brunson told NBC 6 Tuesday from his hospital bed.

Brunson isn't sure if he'll walk again after he was hit by a car Friday morning at Northwest 24th Avenue and 61st Street.

He was riding his bike down the street to his home when he was struck by a driver making a left turn.

The driver stopped, but not to help Brunson. He got out of his car to retrieve his rear view mirror that fell off.

Brunson said he believes the driver had no intention to be a good Samaritan. He ended up having to yell for help.

Brunson remains in the hospital and is expected to undergo more surgeries.
