Firefighters responded to a brush fire that was causing smoky conditions in West Kendall Friday.
The fire was reported near Tamiami Pineland Park off of Southwest 124th Street near Miami Executive Airport.
Miami-Dade Fire Rescue officials said crews that responding crews found several trees on fire as the blaze spread rapidly to nearby structures.
The fire was upgraded to a second alarm and air rescue was dispatched to deploy water drops in an effort to contain the fire.
Two vehicles caught fire but crews quickly put those out, officials said.
Authorities were diverting traffic in the area while they worked to put the grass fire out, and some nearby structures were evacuated as a precaution.
No injuries have been reported.
