Singer Jimmy Buffett was rushed to an Australian hospital Wednesday after falling off the stage and hitting his head during a concert in Sydney.
Buffett, 64, was finishing up a show at the Hordem Pavillion when he suddenly dropped off the front of the stage becoming unconscious after hitting his head.
The "Margaritaville" singer, who spends much of his down time in South Florida, was unconscious for between 5 to 10 minutes and had a huge gash on his head, according to TMZ.
Buffett may have fallen into a gap on the stage after he was temporarily blinded by stage lights at the venue. An audience member said it also looked like Buffett was about to jump off the stage at the end of the encore but he misjudged his leap.
Paramedics arrived and took Buffett to a nearby hospital, where he was in stable condition. He was released Wednesday afternoon after a CAT scan showed nothing amiss, TMZ reported.
The show was Buffett's last of five in Sydney on his current tour.
