Bunny Left During Hurricane Dorian Reunited With Owner in South Florida

What to Know

  • Bouncer somehow escaped from the person Williams left her with, but was found and reunited with Williams in Little Havana.

It was a reunion Kimora Williams never thought would happen – after she was separated from her beloved rabbit Bouncer during Hurricane Dorian in her native Bahamas.

“I thought somebody took you,” Williams says to Bouncer as she is reunited with her Sunday. “I thought you died.”

Williams had so many thoughts when she had to leave Bouncer behind where their house was destroyed during the storm in early September, last seeing her beloved pet on the 5th.

Bouncer somehow escaped from the person Williams left her with, but was found and reunited with Williams in Little Havana, where shes is staying with relatives.

“To see her now just gives me a little more hope,” said Williams. “I’m so happy to see her. This is my first pet.”

Kimora didn’t have the money to get Bouncer’s health certificate to allow her into the United States. But that all changed with the help of the folks from Good Karma Pet Rescue.

“I really appreciate this bringing my baby back home to me,” said Williams. “She an American girl now."
