Burglary Suspects Plow Getaway Vehicle Into Car Wash

Employee injured when car goes through building wall, suspects arrested

Looks like this car's gonna need more than a wash.

A trio of burglary suspects tried to turn a Lauderdale Lakes car wash into a drive-thru Monday morning, slamming their car into the building and injuring one worker as they tried to flee police.

The incident happened shortly before noon at the car wash on the 3500 block of West Oakland Park Blvd.

According to Fort Lauderdale Police, officers were chasing the car when its driver suddenly lost control and plowed into the building, giving one employee a minor leg injury.

The three suspects were arrested at the scene. Their identities and the charges against them are unknown.
