2-Year-Old Girl Who Was in Car Stolen in Miami Gardens Found Safe

A 2-year-old girl who was inside a car when it was stolen at a Miami Gardens shopping plaza Friday night has been found safe.

A "Be on the Lookout" was issued for the 2009 yellow Mitsubishi Eclipse after it was stolen from the plaza in the 4600 block of Northwest 183rd Street around 9:45 p.m., Miami Gardens officials said.

An employee of a liquor store at the plaza said the driver of the car was inside the store when the car was stolen.

Officials said the girl was wearing pampers and a white shirt. There was also a dog in the car.

The car and the girl were found a short time later at the Honey Hill mobile home park on Northwest 199th Street, police said.

The suspect remains at large.
