An AT&T store in Miami Gardens is in serious clean-up mode after a car crashed through the front of the shop Friday.
Police said an older woman somehow lost control in the parking lot of the store near Northwest 167th Street off 57th Avenue, clipping two cars and then hitting a third car before reversing right into the store. Cell phone video captured the aftermath of the crash with the car completely inside the store.
"We just heard like a really loud sound. It sounded like an explosion and shook the whole office," witness Mari Copaira said.
Shattered glass and pieces of the door littered the ground of the business. Thankfully no one was injured, but the store was closed temporarily as they cleaned up the mess.
Police said the driver of the Ford Explorer was in her 70s and she claimed that she lost control after she confused the brakes with the accelerator. The woman has been charged with careless driving.
