A woman who was pulled from a car that went into the water off Bay Harbor Islands in Miami-Dade Wednesday morning has died, officials said.

Aerial footage showed Miami-Dade Fire Rescue crews responding to the area of W. Broadview Drive and 103rd Street after the car became completely submerged.

Divers pulled the woman from the car and she was seen being placed into an ambulance as rescue workers performed life-saving techniques on her. The victim was taken by helicopter to a local hospital, where she later died, officials said.

Divers were also seen in the water near the car, but fire rescue officials said no other victims were found.

One witness said it sounded like pots and pans clanging together when the car went into the water.

"There was one person who jumped into the water. By that time they grabbed her, there was already two cop boats, they were trying to pull the person out of the water," Michael Hernandez said.

The woman's identity hasn't been released, and officials haven't said what may have caused the car to go into the water.
