Cash Register Cleared Out in Hialeah Pizza Patron Robbery: Police

The suspect forced everyone into the back of the pizzeria, police said

A male suspect cleared out the money from the cash register of a Hialeah pizza restaurant in a robbery Thursday, police said.

The suspect forced everyone inside Pizza Patrón at 2360 W. 68th St. into a room in the back of the pizzeria before he took the cash and left, Hialeah Police spokesman Eddie Rodriguez said.

While officers responded to a call of an armed robbery, it is unclear whether the subject was armed, Rodriguez said.

Robbery detectives are investigating, and police are working with the business manager to see if the assailant was captured by surveillance video, Rodriguez added.
