A Central Florida woman found herself behind bars after police say she gave birth to a child with serious medical problems after having a sexual relationship with her brother.

Pauline Martin was booked into the Lake County Jail last Friday, where she was charged with one count each of incest and resisting arrest according to the Leesburg Daily Commercial. The 33-year-old, who works as a cashier at a restaurant, was released on $3,000 bond.

According to police, Martin gave birth to the child last November but the baby was taken to the Palmer Hospital for Children in Orlando for further care. Hospital personnel notified the Florida Department of Children and Families after test showed the parents were related.

Detectives interviewed Martin, who admitted to having sex with her brother for five years. Officials continue looking for the father of the child, but say they have been unable to find him.
