12-Year-Old boy hospitalized after altercation with adult: Police

Police are looking for a man who stabbed a young boy outside a Homestead shopping center Tuesday night.

The incident happened around 9 p.m. at the Homestead Towne Square at 891 N. Homestead Boulevard, according to Homestead Police spokesman Fernando Morales.

Morales said a 12-year-old boy and an adult got into some sort of confrontation and the man stabbed the boy.

The boy ran away to the area of Northeast 8th Street and 15th Avenue, where he was found and taken to Homestead Hospital. He was later taken to Miami Children's Hospital, where he was in stable condition, Morales said.
