A 66-year-old man who blogged about children’s water polo events in South Florida is facing several child pornography charges.
Roger Aiudi, of Dania Beach, was arrested on October 25, Broward Sheriff's Office officials said.
According to officials, Aiudi was taken into custody after a months-long investigation revealed he had 13 pornographic images of children and dozens of other images showing children in promiscuous positions.
Aiudi also had hundreds of images of children playing water polo throughout Broward County. In some instances, the pictures were focused on their private areas. The children photographed appeared to be as young as 5 years old and as old as 18.
"Because of that, detectives are concerned with his contact as a local blogger at these children’s events that there may be some physical victims," said BSO spokeswoman Joy Oglesby.
Aiudi appeared in bond court Monday. He remains in jail and faces 10 counts of possession of child pornography and one count of using a computer to compile child pornography.
The Broward Sheriff’s Office is asking anyone who believes they or their children were victimized by Aiudi to call Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS.
