Coast Guard Continues Search for Overdue Paddle Boarder

The U.S. Coast Guard says it's continuing to search for a paddle boarder who is overdue for arrival in South Carolina.

A statement from the Coast Guard says 58-year-old William Morlock was traveling between Daytona, Florida, and Mount Pleasant, South Carolina.

Officials say Morlock's sister notified watchstanders in the Coast Guard Sector Miami command center of the situation at 9:05 a.m., Sunday. The woman reported that her brother William was last seen Friday evening, at the residence they share, preparing the paddle board for use.

The paddle board was located Saturday east of Normandy Beach, Florida.

The statement said Coast Guard aircraft and cutters are slated to search for Morlock through the night.
