College Colors Day Encourages Fans to Support Their School Before Football's Opening Weekend

From the Miami Hurricanes to the Florida State Seminoles and the FAMU Rattlers to the FIU Panthers, fans across the state and around the country are sporting their logos and colors of their favorite college team Friday.

The annual College Colors Day initiative encourages fans to wear the colors of either their alma mater or the team they root for each Saturday. It has been held annually the Friday before college football’s opening weekend.

If you are participating in the event and representing your favorite team, we want to see your picture! Use the hashtag #NBC6 so we can see you in your team’s colors, whether it’s orange and blue, scarlet and grey or black and gold.
