Colombia Wins 3-1 Against Haiti in Pre-Copa America Match

As expected, the Colombian national team without their star James Rodriguez managed to beat the Haitian national team 3-1 in a pre-Copa America friendly match at Marlins Park.

Scoring shots from Dayro Moreno, Roger Martinez and Juan Cuadrado lead the South American team to victory in front of a crowd of over 20,000 fans dominated in part by bright yellow colored shirts.

Although Colombia was the favorite to win, coach Jose Pekerman expressed his discontent when Wilde Guerrier evened the score in the first half for the Haitian team.

“The Goal made by Haiti really bothered me because we have gone over that play many times, and we didn’t execute correctly,” said Coach Pekerman. “We have to continue working hard.”

Both teams utilized this match to prepare for the upcoming 100th anniversary edition of the Copa America tournament being played in the United States next month where Colombia is scheduled to play the USMNT in the opening game next Friday June 3rd.
