Artists are giving new life to Miami's Little Havana, where more than 100 murals have now been painted.

The Miami Herald reports a collection of murals has sprung up around the neighborhood's Goodwill store, inspiring owners of nearby buildings to transform their walls, as well.

The vibrant artwork has not been welcomed by everyone. Some residents, business owners and a district city commissioner say they don't want the neighborhood to become another Wynwood.

Wynwood is the Miami neighborhood that has been transformed into a burgeoning arts district. Many buildings there feature elaborate murals that have garnered nationwide attention.

The muralist coordinating the project said she wants to give artists the opportunity to exhibit their work in a public place and that all pieces should reflect the area's culture.
