It happened just before 10 p.m. on Saturday night, an officer driving near S.W. 344 St. and S.W. Ninth Avenue struck a pedestrian.
The victim was immediately airlifted to the Ryder Trauma Center where he later died from his injuries.
The Miami-Dade Police Department, Traffic Homicide Unit is currently investigating the accident.
At this time, neither the names of the victim nor the officer have been released.
