Schoolkids have always feared the class bully, but at a Miami preschool the teacher was the bully, and now he's busted.
Jean E. Dorvil, a 56-year-old preeschool teacher in the Head Start program at Charles R. Drew Elementary School, is accused of hitting and kicking some of his young students, according to Miami police.
The brutal bully's reign of terror ended when a five-year-old student came home from school with a cut on her mouth and blood on her shirt.
The girl, Mikel Blue, told her mother she had been kicked in the face by Dorvil while students were supposed to be napping, simply because she'd gone to the bathroom without permission.
"It stunned me," mother Cynthia Blue told the Miami Herald. "Her lip was cut on the outside, and it was bleeding."
Two boys told investigators that Dorvil had also kicked them earlier in the year. Dorvil reportedly admitted to police that he'd kicked the two boys.
Dorvil has been a teacher at Drew Elementary for over 10 years, and had been reprimanded in 2002 for an incident in which a student in his care was badly hurt.
Dorvil is facing several felony charges, including aggravated child abuse with great bodily harm, three battery charges and two other charges of child abuse with no harm.
He's being held in jail without bond.
