Cottonmouth Snakes Found at Coral Springs Dog Park

Coral Springs Police are warning the public of Cottonmouth Snakes being found at the dog park located at the Sportplex.

Officials say the cold weather is causing the reptiles to move to areas within the park to find warmth.

Humane Unit Officers will be out to survey the area on Thursday to see if there is increased nesting of snakes near the park area.

Coral Springs Police warns the public that if they see a snake in the park area, to call police at 954-344-1800.

Police officials also want to remind the public to be mindful of their pets when they're walking them.
