Couple Wipes Out Jason Wu Apparel at Miami Target “Within Minutes”

Angry customers took photos and videos on their phones

The crowd may have been much smaller than a Black Friday crowd, but the fervor and anticipation for the launch of the limited Jason Wu line for the Midtown Miami Target got a bit out of control Sunday morning.

Ginger Harris says it was all in thanks to a couple who swiped the racks clean.

"Within minutes, everything was gone," exclaimed Harris, who said there were about 10 people in front of her in line when the doors opened.

She says they took nearly every single Jason Wu accessory and apparel, leaving nothing for anyone else, so the angry, disbelieving customers began taking pictures and video on their phones.

Jason Wu exploded in popularity after designing Michelle Obama's dress for the 44th president's inauguration in 2009.

"The guy was hurling insults at the shoppers, telling them we can buy them outside," Harris said.

Posted on eBay are thousands of Jason Wu for Target items now selling at a less than affordable price.

The couple was able to purchase all of the items.

In a statement to NBC Miami, Target said, "Regarding product limitations, we tested product limitations online at Target.com and are encouraged by the positive feedback we’ve received from our guests. We did not enforce product limitations in our stores."
