“Cuando Sea Grande” Monologues Debut in Miami

Monologues celebrate life while empowering and stimulating growth at any age.

The “Cuando Sea Grande” (When I Grow Up) monologues, produced and staged by ex-television reporter Leda Santodomingo, debuts in South Florida Sunday, July 26 at Miami’s Flamingo Theatre, following a successful run in both Chicago and Barcelona, Spain.

Packed with humor and wit, the one-woman show features excerpts from Santodomingo’s first book by the same name about the life experiences of the now 61-year old former Venezuelan television anchor and ex-Telemundo reporter.

“The monologues are a glimpse in the life of a woman who enters mid-life when she is suddenly faced with the inevitable question of… now what? What’s next in my life?” said Santodomingo. “We experience this scenario many times during our life time but many people are afraid to leave their comfort zone so they avoid change.”

During the course of the 60-minute stage production, Santodomingo highlights several key moments of her personal and professional life, including the time she chose to reignite her career in the United States after she held the highest rated investigative program in Venezuela.

The monologues inspire growth as well as raise awareness about the issue of divorce and domestic violence.

“Change is necessary and we have to be okay with that in order to grow no matter how hard or painful that change may be,” she said.

“You can catch the “Cuando Sea Grande” monologues this Sunday, July 26th at 6 p.m. at the legendary Flamingo Theater Bar, located at 905 Brickell Bay Drive in Downtown Miami.
