3:00 AM - NBC News declares Donald Trump as the winner of the presidential election after grabbing 278 electoral votes.
2:50 AM - Donald Trump took the stage at an election watch party in New York City, claiming victory. He told the crowd Hillay Clinton called him to concede and congratulate him on winning the presidential election.
2:10 AM - Hillary Clinton's campaign chair John Podesta said she is not conceding on election night, urging supporters to go home and get some sleep because they won’t have anything more to say.
11:30 PM - NBC News reports Donald Trump is "apparent" winner in tight race for Florida.
10:55 PM - The Associated Press projected Republican Donald Trump as the winner of Florida, adding 29 electoral votes to his path to the White House.
10:30 PM - Democratic state representative Jose Javier Rodriguez came out victorious in the contest for the West Miami-Dade seat against challenger Miguel Diaz de la Portilla. Rodriguez grabbed 49% of the vote while Diaz de la Portilla held 46% with all precincts reporting.

10:15 PM - The winner of Florida between Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump is too close to call. With 99% of precincts reporting, Trump had 49% of the vote while Clinton remained close with 48%.
9:00 PM - Broward Sheriff Scott Israel will remain as top cop after a land-slide victory against Santiago Vazquez, Jr.
8:50 PM - Republican Carlos Curbelo wins the U.S. House District 26 race. Curbelo beats Jor Garcia for the second time in what was a contentious battle.
8:45 PM - Florida voters rejected a utility-funded ballot measure that would have opened the door for changes to the system of credit earned by homeowners who install solar panels and produce surplus energy.
8:30 PM - Voters reelected Carlos Gimenez as mayor of Miami-Dade County. Gimenez defeated Raquel Regalado, a former school board member and the daughter of Miami Mayor Tomas Regalado.
8:20 PM - Florida voters have approved the amendment which legalizes the use of marijuana for specific medical purposes.Without all precincts reporting, the vote total showed nearly 70 percent of voters in favor of the amendment.
Amendment 2 has virtually the same language it did in 2014.
8:15 PM - Republican Senator Marco Rubio won his re-election to the U.S. Senate. Democratic rival Patrick Murphy conceded to the contentious race.
6:45 PM - Authorities say one person is dead and three are injured following reports of a shooting near a Los Angeles-area polling site, the Associated Press repors. Los Angeles County Fire officials says one person was dead on arrival Tuesday, two people were airlifted to hospitals and a fourth was being treated. No arrests have been made.
6:15 PM - A polling place in Winter Park was evacuated after a backpack was left unattended. Police later gave the all-clear and allowed voters back into the polling location.
5:05 PM - Hillary Clinton left her home in Chappaqua, New York and headed to Manhattan to watch the results of the presidential election.
4:15 PM - Palm Beach Sheriff's Office said a man pulled out a gun during a fight at a polling site in Lake Worth. The two men are facing misdemeanor charges.
3:45 PM - A state court judge in Nevada denied a request from the Donald Trump campaign to issue a court order to preserve names of poll workers for a complaint about what the campaign calls early voting irregularities. The judge said that making the names part of the court record could expose the workers to possible "public attention, ridicule and harassment."
3:30 PM - A woman pepper sprayed a man during an argument at a Jupiter polling place, WPTV reports. According to initial reports, a woman was handing out Donald Trump literature when the man yelled at her. The altercation escalated and ended with the woman pepper spraying the man. The mas was not taken into custody.
2:00 PM - Donald Trump’s campaign has filed a lawsuit in Nevada, claiming that people were improperly allowed to vote after the polls closed during early voting in the state, NBC News' Pete Williams reported.
As is the law in many states, the procedure in Nevada is that people in line after the polls close are allowed to vote. The Trump campaign claims that others – who were not in line when the polls closed – were nonetheless allowed to vote.
12:30 PM - Broward County Supervisor of Elections Dr. Brenda Snipes fired two clerks from precincts in Pompano Beach after a dispute that was the first major issue in South Florida during Election Day.
Deputies were called to the Herb Skolknick Community Center after complaints of possible voter intimidation from the Democratic and Republican poll watchers at one precinct. That led to a dispute between the clerks from precincts 23 and 24 - one a Democrat, the other a Republican.
11:15 AM - Donald Trump arrives at New York City school to vote along with wife and family. He's met with mix of boos and cheers from those outside location.
9:00 AM - Rep. Patrick Murphy, running for the U.S. Senate, campaigns in Miami Lakes. Murphy, who represents the Treasure Coast, is in a battle with Sen. Marco Rubio, who has maintained a lead since entering the race this summer.
8:00 AM - Hillary Clinton votes along with husband, former President Bill Clinton, near their New York home.
7:00 AM - Polls open across South Florida, some already with lines of voters waiting to cast their ballots. Broward, Miami-Dade and Monroe Counties saw a massive increase in early voting in the two weeks leading up to Election Day.
