Authorities in Polk County say they're investigating the death of a Davenport man found in a wooded area as a homicide.
Polk County Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Donna Wood said in a news release that a resident found 38-year-old Alexander Vigo Jr. in Davenport on Tuesday afternoon.
Wood says Vigo's family last saw him around 9:30 p.m. Sunday.
Deputies believe Vigo was shot, but an autopsy is scheduled to confirm the cause and manner of death.
