Disabled Son a Person of Interest in Parents' Murders: Authorities

Man may be in South Florida area

Authorities are searching for a disabled man who is a person of interest in the murders of his parents in central Florida.

Sean Petrozzino, who has one partial hand and two prosthetic legs after losing his limbs to meningitis, is a person of interest in the murders of 64-year-old Nancy Petrozzino and 63-year-old Michael Petrozzino, the Orange County Sheriff's Office said Wednesday.

Petrozzino, 30, is considered armed and dangerous and may be in Jupiter or the Coral Springs area, the sheriff's office said.

The parents were found shot to death Tuesday inside their home on Heming Way in Orange County, WESH reported.

Deputies responded to the home when Nancy Petrozzino, a teacher at a nearby elementary school, didn't show up for work.

Neighbors told WESH the son had recently moved back into the home.

Authorities on Wednesday released a surveillance photo of Sean Petrozzino taken Tuesday morning at an ATM in the Orlando area.

Petrozzino was last seen in a red 2012 Toyota Camry with Florida tag 112VZY. Anyone with information is asked to call Crimeline at 800-423-TIPS.
