Dolphins Beat Browns for First Win of Season

The Dolphins picked up their first win of the season with a 30-24 win on Sunday

The Miami Dolphins came away winners for the first time this season with a 30-24 victory over the Cleveland Browns on Sunday.

The win came in overtime on a game-winning run from Jay Ajayi with roughly nine minutes to go. Before the winning run, both teams failed to convert on their initial OT possessions.

For the first time this season, the Dolphins began a game as the favorite instead of the underdog. The game did not start out well for the Dolphins however and the team trailed after the first half. Things changed after halftime with Miami showing more intensity and better production on the field.

Ryan Tannehill had an ugly first half with two interceptions including one pick in the opening minute. The second half was much better for Tannehill and he was a key reason that the Dolphins came from behind. Miami's quarterback ended up with a 25-39 day and three touchdowns to go along with the two picks.

With Arian Foster on the shelf due to a groin injury, the Dolphins went with a ground game by committee. Kenyan Drake led the pack with 37 yards on his nine carries. Jarvis Landry, Damien Williams, Ajayi, Isaiah Pead and Tannehill also saw work in the running game. In all, Miami had 115 yards on the ground.

Catching three touchdown passes from Tannehill in the win were Williams, Landry and Parker. Landry led the team with 76 receiving yards as well in the win.

Miami will go back on the road for its next game. Coming up on Thursday, the Dolphins will travel to Cincinnati to take on the Bengals.
