Dolphins Game Preview: Week 13 vs. Bills

The Dolphins will bring a two-game skid into their home game with the Bills on Sunday

The Miami Dolphins will try and right the ship when they host the Buffalo Bills on Sunday.

Miami has dropped the previous two games it has played and six of the last eight overall. The Dolphins sit at 5-6 on the season and face a tough road to the playoffs. Miami is not mathematically eliminated, but it will need wins in a hurry.

The Bills are 4-7 and are simply playing out the remainder of their schedule at this point. Buffalo is also mathematically alive, but it would need a lot of help to reach the postseason. The Bills have won two straight games, after dropping four consecutive contests.

Miami and Buffalo will wear throwback uniforms for this game, in what will be the first of two meetings between the clubs this season. The Dolphins will visit Buffalo later this month and could be welcomed by frigid temperatures. If the Dolphins can stay alive until that contest, they may face a tough challenge in a game they will need to have.

Ryan Tannehill returned to the field last week and was decent, but could not lead Miami to a win. Tannehill ended up going 17-25 for 204 yards, while finding the end zone twice. The quarterback avoided interceptions and was sacked once.

The Bills could be a challenge for Tannehill, as they have allowed the fewest passing yards in the NFL this season. Buffalo's issues are on offense, where it is ranked close to the bottom in passing yards. Miami is 29th in the league in rush-defense, while it is 21st against passing.

Jordan Phillips will be making his return to Hard Rock Stadium, after being released by the Dolphins in October. Miami tight-end Nick O’Leary will also face his former club on Sunday.

A.J. Derby, DeVante Parker and Danny Amendola are all listed as questionable for Miami, while Kenyan Drake is expected to play. Drake was limited in practice, but is expected to see a normal workload in this game.

Sunday's kickoff is scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
