Dolphins Unveil Throwback Uniforms

The Dolphins will pay homage to their first season with a look unveiled on Wednesday

The Miami Dolphins unveiled a new look on Wednesday that will serve as a tribute to the original look of the franchise.

During a Monday Night Football contest against the New York Giants, the Dolphins will take the field in the throwback look. The game is scheduled to take place on December 14th at Sun Life Stadium.

While the uniform is not an exact replace of the look from 1966, it comes pretty close. This look is part of a season-long celebration in relation to this being the Dolphins' 50th season.

Besides pictures of the look, Miami also released a video showing off the uniforms.

Loyal fans of the Dolphins will immediately notice the similarities to the old look of the team. The helmet has the familiar image of a dolphin wearing a helmet. The sleeves have prominent orange and white stripes, that are sure to bring back memories of the old days for many Miami fans.

Besides this alternate look, Miami will also be fielding a new look roster. An exciting and busy off-season has the Dolphins entering the year with a lot of hope and optimism. A recent Harvard study even picked Miami to win the AFC.

The Dolphins will begin the preseason schedule on August 13th against the Chicago Bears.
