Trump Calls Obama Founder of ISIS at Sunrise Rally

Republican Presidential Nominee Donald Trump said President Barack Obama is the founder of the Islamic State group.

Trump made the comment during a campaign rally held at the BB&T Center in Sunrise Wednesday.

"He is the founder of ISIS," Trump told the cheering crowd. "I would say the co-founder would be crooked Hillary Clinton. Crooked Hillary Clinton."

The GOP nominee's South Florida visit comes one day after his latest comments have sparked controversy.

This time, Trump told a crowd in North Carolina that if Clinton was elected and picked judges, there was nothing they could do – before adding “Although the Second Amendment people, maybe there is.”

Supporters of Clinton believe the comments encouraged violence toward their candidate, while Trump’s backers defended the comments – saying he was speaking about the voting power of gun rights advocates.

Some prominent Democrats nationally have called for an investigation into these comments, as well as previous ones viewed as encouraging Russia to engage in a cyber attack against Clinton.

The Secret Service said it is aware of the comments but would not say if there would be an investigation.
