Dozens of Migrants Come Ashore in Boynton Beach

Dozens of migrants came ashore in Boynton Beach Saturday morning, officials said.

Boynton Beach Police said a boat landed on the beach just north of the Boynton Beach Inlet just after 10:30 a.m. The migrants then ran ashore and hid in bushes along A1A, according to a report by NBC affiliate WPTV.

Boynton Beach Police, Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office, Coast Guard, Manalapan Police, and Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission units worked together in the search.

Patrol units found 25 men and women from Haiti, as well as a man and woman from Ecuador. Police said the migrants were turned over to the U.S. Border Patrol.
