A driver with an expired license who ran away from a major crash in Broward County has been caught, Florida Highway Patrol troopers confirm.
The crash snarled traffic Friday morning at I-95 northbound at Broward Boulevard.
According to Florida Highway Patrol, a car and a tractor trailer were involved in the crash just before 5 a.m. The tractor was laid on its side in the median.
The driver and passenger both got out of the car and ran from the scene. Troopers caught up with both, and arrested just the driver who had an expired license.
The driver of the overtuned truck was taken to Broward Health and is expected to be okay.
Motorists should anticipate delays throughout the morning commute and try to avoid the area if at all possible.
