Murder Suspect Eludes Authorities Again: Deputies

On Sept. 15, Geraghty, driving with a suspended license, allegedly fled through the safety and sobriety checkpoint and then struck a deputy with his vehicle.

The injured deputy was able to shoot at Geraghty’s car several times, and the 51-year-old was eventually taken into custody with the help of a K-9 unit, authorities said.

Geraghty was airlifted to Osceola Regional Medical Center, the same hospital that treated the deputy’s non-life threatening injuries.
