A woman is facing charges after police say they found numerous illegal drugs inside a Miami motel room she shared with two young children.
Margreta Barboza, 25, was arrested at the Serena Inn at 26480 S. Dixie Highway Saturday afternoon on charges of possession with intent to sell crack cocaine, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and child neglect causing no great bodily harm.
Barboza appeared in bond court Monday where she was ordered held on $18,500 bond. She was appointed a public defender.
According to an arrest report, officer responded to the motel after receiving a call of a fight involving an armed man. Officers found the man who had a pocket knife and was armed with a pistol, the report said.
They also found Barboza, who had bruising on her face but when asked about it said nothing happened, then became very irate, the report said.
Officers searched the motel room and found two grams of cannabis, a scale, 38 crack cocaine rocks and a razor with cocaine residue on a dresser, the report said. In a drawer they found four grams of marijuana, seven Alprazolam pills, and 11 grams of crack-cocaine, the report said.
The report said two children, ages 2 and 5, also live in the motel room. The kids "had potential access to the large narcotics and in one instance the numerous crack rocks were observed on top of children's playing cards and next to a children's juice bottle," the report said.

"That's a recipe for disaster," Judge Catherine Pooler told Barboza during her court appearance.
