A Miami woman who crashed into a car after fleeing the scene of another crash while driving with three young kids in an SUV is facing DUI and child neglect charges, police said.

Julenny Aquino, 24, was arrested Thursday on charges including three counts of child neglect, three counts of culpable negligence, DUI, DUI causing property damage and reckless driving, according to an arrest report.

According to the report, the first crash happened in the area of Southwest 160th Street and Southwest 102nd Avenue. The report said Aquino was behind the wheel of a Nissan Rogue when she was involved in the crash, which caused a total of $12,000 in damages.

Aquino got out of her car, argued with the other driver then fled the scene without exchanging any information, the report said. As she fled the scene Aquino crashed into another car, causing another $1,000 in damages, the report said.

When officers arrived at the scene, they found Aquino sitting in the Rogue with a 4-year-old child in her lap, the report said. Three children were in the car with her but weren't injured, the report said.

Aquino "appeared to be heavily under the influence of alcohol" with red watery eyes, alcohol on her breath and slurred speech, the report said. She also failed field sobriety tests, the report said.

In court Friday, Aquino said the children are her nephews, who she was picking up from school.

"I don’t know if you realize the damage you’re going to cause the kids by your actions and I hope you can get help," Miami-Dade Judge Mindy Glazer told Aquino.

Aquino's bond was set at $7,000 with house arrest, and she was appointed a public defender. She was also ordered to stay away from the children.
