Dwyane Wade Thanks Miami Heat Fans With Billboard

It may no longer be "Wade County" but former Miami Heat star Dwyane Wade is still thanking his South Florida fans for his time with the team.

It may no longer be "Wade County" but former Miami Heat star Dwyane Wade's presence in South Florida still remains.

Wade is still thanking Heat fans for their support during his tenure with the team, putting up a billboard at Interstate 95 and Interstate 395 to show his appreciation.

The ad, a simple "Thank You Miami," with his picture and signature was erected near the American Airlines Arena where he played for over a decade.

The 12-time All-Star signed with the Chicago Bulls in July following 13 years with the Heat and three NBA titles. The guard played his entire NBA career with Miami and was a fan favorite.

The team paid tribute to Wade shortly after his depature was announced. The Heat displayed pictures and videos of Wade at the American Airlines Arena, and on its various social media accounts.

Wade's contract with the Bulls is for two years, but he has the option to walk away following the 2016-17 season. The contract followed failed negotiations with Miami, who tried to retain its star. However, it remains a possibility that Wade could return to the Heat later in his career.
