Police are investigating after they say an elderly woman was struck and killed while walking in Miami Beach Wednesday morning.
The woman was struck by a vehicle in the area of 71st Street and Abbott Avenue just before 9:30 a.m., officials said. She was taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital where she later died.
The crash involved two vehicles and both drivers remained on the scene. Police didn't release the victim's name or age.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
