Employees, Dancers at Popular South Florida Strip Clubs Arrested Over Alleged Drug Dealing

Employees and dancers at a popular Doral strip club were arrested after an overnight raid surrounding alleged drug sales to undercover deputies for over a year.

The Miami Herald reported the operation called “Neon Lights” took place late Friday night at the Booby Trap and LaBare complex located off NW 53rd Street and 77th Avenue, right next to the Palmetto Expressway.

A total of 10 arrest warrants were issued for suspected dealers, though Miami-Dade Police would not say how many of those arrested were dancers or other employees, including bartenders and bouncers.

Officials from MDPD, as well as Homeland Security, the Drug Enforcement Agency and more, entered the establishments and allowed customers to leave before arresting those who had been under surveillance since 2016. The newspaper reported that drugs and at least three guns were also found during the arrests.

Both clubs remained closed as of Saturday afternoon.
