    • The show will headline the annual Art Basel festival in Miami this December and Miami is one of just three cities to be selected to host.

As the country celebrates the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall Riots in New York City – the landmark event that started the modern LGBTQ movement – a groundbreaking exhibit remembering the first years after the events will make its way to Miami later this year.

“Art After Stonewall” will make its way to the Frost Art Museum at Florida International University from September 14th until January 5th. The exhibit, currently on display in New York City, highlights over 200 pieces of art that remember the first 20 years that followed the moments on June 28th and 29th in 1969.

The show will headline the annual Art Basel festival in Miami this December and Miami is one of just three cities to be selected to host the exhibit, joining New York City (hosting until July 21st) and Columbus, Ohio starting on March 6, 2020.

The museum will host on-site another one of Miami’s most highly anticipated LGBTQ events of the year with the October 12th annual Gala benefiting Unity Coalition | Coalición Unida. This exhibition was organized by the Columbus Museum of Art and was curated by the artist and art historian, Jonathan Weinberg, with Tyler Cann and Drew Sawyer.
