FAU Student's Violent Outburst Captured on Video

The student was ultimately restrained by school officials

A video of a Florida Atlantic University student’s out-of-control outburst has gone viral, with her seen on camera punching another student and yelling threats.

It all started with a discussion about evolution in a FAU classroom in Boca Raton Tuesday afternoon.

Then the meltdown began once the woman asked the professor "why evolution kills black people.” She apparently didn’t get the answer she was looking for, video shot on a student’s cell phone shows, as she went on to hit a male student and allegedly threatened to kill fellow classmates and the professor.

She was ultimately restrained by school officials.

In a statement Wednesday the university said, “In order to provide for the safety of all concerned, the student had to be physically removed from the classroom by two FAU employees. The FAU Police Department escorted the student off of campus property and transported her to a local hospital for examination in accordance with Florida's Baker Act.”

The woman is undergoing a psychiatric evaluation, WPTV reported.
