FBI Arrests Serial Robber Connected to Six South Florida Robberies

The agency says the robberies took place over the course of a week.

An alleged serial robber who is being accused of robbing six South Florida gas stations and convenience stores was arrested by the FBI early Wednesday morning, just two days after surveillance captured the suspect robbing a Pembroke Pines gas station, officials said.

According to the agency, 37-year-old Jonathan Daniels was involved with robbing four 7-Elevens, a Chevron gas station, and a Marathon gas station over the course of a week.

The robberies began on Oct. 7 and included locations in Miami and Miami Gardens, officials said.

On Monday, officers responded to an armed robbery at the Marathon gas station in Pembroke Pines. Pembroke Pines Police sent a message on social media saying the case may have been linked to a similar case in Broward.

Daniel was in federal custody and expected to appear in court Wednesday, the FBI said. Attorney information wasn't available.
