The FBI is searching for an armed suspect who robbed the Foot Locker at Sawgrass Mills Mall in Sunrise.
The robbery happened back on April 22 when the thief entered the store, displayed a handgun and demanded money from an employee, FBI officials said Tuesday. Surveillance images of the suspect in the store during the robbery were also released Tuesday.
There were no customers in the store at the time, and no one was injured. The amount of money taken wasn't released.
"The FBI and its South Florida Violent Crime Fugitive Task Force are involved in this matter as part of an initiative to assist local law enforcement agencies in combating violent armed robberies," the agency said in a statement.
