FBI Looking for Coral Gables Bank Robber

The FBI is looking for a masked man who robbed a Coral Gables bank Monday morning

The FBI is looking for a masked man who robbed a Coral Gables bank Monday morning and may have robbed another bank down the street last week.

The robbery happened at the Wells Fargo Bank at 2555 Ponce de Leon Boulevard around 9:40 a.m., when the suspect entered the business, implied he had a dangerous device and demanded money from an employee, the FBI said.

Money was taken but the FBI isn't releasing the amount. Customers were in the bank at the time but no one was injured.

Wells Fargo released a statement Monday afternoon that read in part: Our primary concern is the safety and security of our customers and team members. We are continuing to work closely with authorities. The store has resume regular business hours."

The FBI believes the suspect may be behind Friday's robbery of the Chase Bank at 1300 Ponce de Leon Boulevard. In that robbery, he was clad in a pink shirt and pinkish colored cap, but without a mask.

Anyone with information is asked to call the FBI at 305-944-9101.
