A Florida Highway Patrol motorcycle trooper was hospitalized after a crash in Broward Friday.
The crash happened on the I-595 east ramp to the Florida's Turnpike.
The FHP said a driver was changing lanes and caused the driver of the vehicle in front of the Trooper Robert Lopez to brake suddenly. Lopez changed lanes to try to avoid the car in front of him, but hit the other car, causing his motorcycle to overturn on its side.
Davie Fire Rescue responded and took Trooper Lopez to Broward Health Trauma Center. He was listed in serious condition.
The crash had caused heavy delays on 595.
