A 15-year-old girl from Fort Lauderdale has been missing for six weeks and her family fears she is in danger.
Sophie Reeder was last seen walking away from her home May 19 around 10 p.m., Fort Lauderdale police said.
Newly released surveillance video showed the teen walking passed a business located between the 100 to 400 block of West Davie Boulevard that night she vanished.
When Reeder's father discovered she was gone the next day, he said nothing from her room was missing and there was no sign of foul play.
Detective haven't gone so far as to say Sophie is in danger, but it is clearly unusual for her to be gone for so long and her family is increasingly worried.
"It's been a lot of ups and downs, frustrations and roadblocks, endless nights," the teen's father Patrick Reeder said. "I wake up in the middle of the night and sleep on the couch, wait by the front door to see if she'll walk through. I do everything I can to try and find her."
Sophie's mother, Nicole Twist, has hired private investigator John Rode to help search for the teen.

"For a 15-year-old to be on her own with no money, nothing. Either she's trafficking or it's worse," said Twist.
Her father said Sophie wasn't officially diagnosed with any mental health issues, but believes she suffers from depression and anxiety.
"Sophie may have left the house voluntarily on her own, but sh'e not coming back for a reason. She's either being held or something a lot worse," said Rode.
Sophie was last seen wearing a black shirt and black shorts. She is known to frequent the area of Stranahan High School.
