Family, Police Search For Answers After Man Shot in Face Outside NW Miami-Dade Store

A northwest Miami Dade man is in critical condition recovering from a major gunshot wound to his face after he was shot at in broad daylight this weekend.

The family of 39-year-old Diego Suarez Perez says they are devastated to hear how he was attacked on Saturday morning outside Tony’s Food Market along 25th Avenue and Northwest 95th Street.

Miami-Dade Police released surveillance video with the hopes that someone will recognize the armed man who approached Perez on a bicycle, pointed a gun at him and demanded money.

The unknown black male, about 30 or 40 years old, then fired his gun at the victim striking him in the face and fleeing on his bike.
