‘Fast & Furious – Supercharged' Opens at Universal Orlando

The long anticipated wait is over: ‘Fast & Furious – Supercharged’ is now open to the public at Universal Studios Orlando.

Guests and their families can join the ‘Fast’ family in a fun, immersive experience that will take them right in the middle of the action.

Once guests arrive at the “garage,” they will make their way through a ride queue which features many vehicles and props used in different films from the ‘Fast’ franchise.

Dennis McCarthy, the picture car coordinator for the ‘Fast’ franchise, designed and created the cars used in the film, as well as the 15 cars visitors can check out at the new ride.

“It’s the ultimate job for a car guy,” said McCarthy.

‘Fast & Furious – Supercharged’ is the newest attraction at Universal Studios to feature the Virtual Line system. Guests can choose a time to get on the ride using the Universal Orlando mobile app. By doing so, guests can enjoy other attractions in the park until it’s time to get on their ride.

The ride queue is also interactive, as guests can watch messages from Mia and the rest of the crew from the film, read character bios, complete quizzes and more. Keep your eyes peeled when in line, as well. ‘6 in the Mix’ host Jen Herrera spoke with Don MacLean, the Vice President of Attraction Development and he said there are hidden Easter eggs within the ride that any fan of the movies or Universal will be able to find in the queue.

Universal Orlando is owned by NBCUniversal, the same company which owns and operates WTVJ.
