The driver of a pickup truck, 35-year-old Eliezer Rodriguez Pedro, was traveling east in the westbound lanes when it struck a silver Hyundai driven by 45-year-old Felix Alberto Restrepo, officials said.
Restrepo died at the scene while the wrong-way driver was taken to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Family members said Restrepo was on his way to work when the crash happened.
Investigators said they believe alcohol played a role in the crash.
