A family is in mourning and remembering a beloved father and husband Tuesday after he was killed in a tragic car crash in Sunny Isles Beach over the weekend.
Amir Pelleg, 34, was described by his cousin as selfless and charismatic.
"He was so devoted to his wife and daughters," said Jeran Trangle. "They were everything to him."
A car veered off the road and crashed into Amir, his wife Zulma and their two kids as they were walking along the sidewalk Sunday night in the area of 174th Street and Collins Avenue.
Amir died at the scene, while Zulma remains hospitalized and in a coma. Their daughters Ariella and Aviva, ages 6 and 2, suffered from broken bones but are in stable condition at Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital.
"To think that he's no longer with us is very difficult," said Shannon Toher, Trangle's wife. "The road ahead is going to be very tough."

The family is preparing to cover Amir's funeral costs. Toher created a GoFundMe page to help.
"We also just want a pathway to allow people to donate so the girls can lead a fulfilling life, have educational opportunities and also to cover some of the expensive medical bills that this family will be facing for a while," Toher said.
The driver, who was identified as Joseph Jacob Franco of Aventura, remained on the scene and was cooperating with police, officials said. It's unclear if any charges will be filed, or whether the driver was under the influence or distracted.
"It's unimaginable and it's heartbreaking because this was the perfect family," Toher said.
