Father and Son Rescued From Everglades After AirBoat Sinks

No one was injured

A man and his teenage son were rescued after being stranded in the Everglades when their airboat sank in west Broward on Friday.

Authorities got the call around 4 p.m. and 20 minutes later they were spotted.

Will Cazanas and his 13-year-old son William, from Palm Beach, were on their airboat about 12 miles west of the Loxahatchee Boat Ramp and about three miles east of U.S. 27. That's where their boat got stuck and then sank.

The pair were brought to the boat ramp.

No one was injured.
